Sweden is the country of Astrid Lidgren – Pippi Longstocking and Karlsson-on-the-roof, the Millenium books trilogy – Stieg Larsson and Lisbeth Salander, as well as Jonas Jonasson and Allan Karlsson, Jonasson’s character from The One-Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared.
So here lays Stockholm with its beautiful architecture and clear sky. A city of parks, cafés and art and culture – music, cinema, literature. In this foreign and beatiful place, my friend and I took a walk in cold November and on our way to Djurgardens – the Royal Gardens – stopped by to marvel at the sights Stockholm offers. And I must say – though it may be cold, the time spent there brought warmth to my heart.
The photograph itself is slightly edited. I didn’t add ready-to-use filters, but adjusted the colours to create a slightly vintage look to it.
