Rabat, Morocco 2.0

This photograph, captured on my first day out in Rabat, represents with almost complete accuracy the way I will remember Morocco. Luminous white, bright, clear blue and rusted brown. I have not edited the image in any way. In fact, most of the photographs I took on this trip don’t need any editing because of the vividness of colours and the beauty of forms.

The feeling Rabat gave me …

“The past is buried deep within the ground in Rabat, although the ancient walls in the old city are still standing, painted in electrifying variations of royal blue that make the winding roads look like streamlets or shallow ocean water.” – Raquel Cepeda

A day spent walking up and down the crude steps of Rabat’s winding streets in the old part of the city, is a day well spent.
